With introduction sampled from founder and lead pastor of 2819 CHURCH (Atlanta) Philip Anthony Mitchell, the song sparked the viral “Jesus is Alive” Open Verse Challenge, with artists and fans creating and sharing their own verses of the song. 

Participants include New Kid on the Block’s Donnie Wahlberg, as well as Christian artists Kijan Boone and Aaron Cole. The trend has inspired a “global creative expression of worship centered on one message: Jesus is alive” (JubileeCast).

Frank will begin the “Jesus Generation Tour” to Buffalo’s KeyBank Center on June 8. He will be accompanied by Tori Kelly, Cory Asbury, and The Figs. “The Jesus Generation Tour” will be Frank’s largest headlining tour to date, following his sold-out “Child of God Tour Part 2.”
