On Monday evening, the Town of Porter recognized the late Brad Hardison, of Hardison Funeral Homes in Ransomville, for his many contributions over the years to the town and community.
A plaque titled "In Loving Memory of Brad Hardison” was presented to Evan Hardison and Ian Hardison on behalf of the Porter Town Board and resident Hap Skelon. Its inscription reads, “The Town of Porter and Ransomville community proudly recognize and honor the life of Brad, a man whose commitment, support and generosity left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.”
“I have never met a man that was loved by a community and meant so much to a community,” said Skelon, who went on to recall the elder Hardison’s support of Ransomville and its community programs, such as the annual Lighting of the Wreaths at Christmas and the Community Faire each summer.
“We appreciate that,” Evan said. “As you guys know as well as us, he was a one-of-a-kind man in the community. Whenever you needed help, he was right there to help you guys out. We really appreciate what you guys have done for us.”
