On Friday, Dec. 19, the Niagara Falls Police Department crash investigation unit, along with the criminal investigation division, the narcotics investigation division, the crime scene unit, New York State Police special investigations unit and the Department of Motor Vehicles investigation unit executed a lawful search warrant in the 800 block of 16th Street in Niagara Falls. The warrant was issued in response to an investigation into a stolen vehicle allegedly being operated by a resident of that address.
Once entry was made, the vehicle in question and three other vehicles were seized. Also found in the home were five illegal guns and over $10,000 in cash, as well as fraudulent paperwork for all the vehicles.
The 50-year-old male who resides at the address was taken into custody and charged with possession of the weapons. He is being held without bail. Additional charges are pending.
