The Town of Porter will hold two public hearings prior to its regular meeting at Town Hall on Monday, March 9.
Town Building and Code Enforcement Officer Peter Jeffery said comments would be taken to consider Local Law No. 1 of 2026, titled BESS – battery energy storage systems; and Local Law No. 2 of 2026, titled cannabis use.
Both proposed measures reflect modifications made by the town with respect to permitting, siting and adherence to state regulations.
“We have SEQRA declaration and Niagara County Planning Board recommendations, and are in good shape for the determination of the Town Board at the March 9 regular meeting,” Jeffery said.
