Big night. Real impact. A community that showed up. What began as the first-ever “BIG Meat Raffle” quickly became something much more – a powerful example of what happens when a community shows up for its kids.
Led by the passionate and dedicated ambassadors board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara & the Southern Tier, Saturday’s sold-out event brought together more than 340 people for a night filled with energy, generosity, and purpose.
From the moment doors opened, the room was alive – laughter, connection, friendly competition, and, yes … a whole lot of meat. With over 75 raffle items, packed tables, and overwhelming community support, the evening was a true celebration of what’s possible when people come together to give big. But beyond the fun, the impact is real.
Proceeds from the evening will help support the more than 300 children and mentors served annually by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara & the Southern Tier – creating and sustaining life-changing, one-to-one mentoring relationships across this region.
And while this night was a tremendous success, the need remains urgent. Dozens of children are still waiting to be matched with a mentor – someone to show up, to listen, to guide, and to believe in their potential.
