The City of Buffalo is bringing back “Food Truck Thursdays” to Niagara Square for the 2026 season, continuing a downtown tradition that has become a staple of spring and summer in the city.
Now entering its 11th season, “Food Truck Thursdays” will take place from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. every Thursday from May 7 through Oct. 15 outside Buffalo City Hall at Niagara Square.
The weekly event features a rotating lineup of local food trucks and vendors serving lunch, desserts, ice cream, and other specialty food items in the heart of downtown Buffalo.
“ ‘Food Truck Thursdays’ are a tradition we’re looking to continue building on as part of our downtown programming,” Mayor Sean Ryan said. “It brings energy to Niagara Square, supports local small businesses, and gives people a reason to get outside and enjoy downtown Buffalo during the warmer months.”
The City of Buffalo invites licensed food truck vendors through the Department of Permits & Inspections to participate in the seasonal lunch series. This year’s season includes 29 participating vendors, including several first-time participants. Vendors rotate throughout the season on a three-week schedule.

Weekly food truck lineups will be announced on the City of Buffalo’s social media channels and on the city website throughout the season.
Residents, downtown workers, and visitors are encouraged to stop by Niagara Square each Thursday to support local vendors and enjoy lunch in the center of downtown Buffalo.
