FeedMore WNY Foundation's 'Party at the Pier' to feature evening of music, food on Buffalo waterfront

Celebrate a vibrant summer evening on the waterfront with live music, food and drinks for seafarers and landlubbers alike! “Party at the Pier” will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at Buffalo River Fest Park, 249 Ohio St., Buffalo. Presented by Tops Friendly Markets, “Party at the Pier” is an exciting summer fundraiser to benefit FeedMore WNY.

“Party at the Pier” will showcase flavorful favorites from Fresh Catch Poke Co., including seafood salad rolls, Jamaican jerk swordfish sliders, shrimp cocktail, and crispy wonton nachos topped with tuna, salmon, and chicken poke. There also will be a variety of non-seafood options from Tops Friendly Markets and other vendors, including shredded beef and Jamaican jerk chicken sliders, fresh summer deli salads, and decadent dessert cups.

In addition to food, admission includes an open bar with wine and beer, as well as tastings and pours from Hartman’s Distilling Co. and Southern Tier Brewing Co.

Eventgoers can dance the night away to live music from the yacht rock band Too Yacht To Handle. “Party at the Pier” also will feature a 50/50 drawing, robust basket auction, a wine pull, “In Good Spirits” ring toss, and more.

Admission is $75 per person. Tickets are available at https://www.feedmorewny.org/get-involved/party-at-the-pier/. All proceeds from “Party at the Pier” will benefit FeedMore WNY’s vital programs and services, providing nourishment, hope, and brighter futures to Western New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity.

Last year, nearly 171,000 Western New Yorkers relied on FeedMore WNY for nutritious food and support – a 51% increase since 2021. Events like “Party at the Pier” enable FeedMore WNY to continue its vital programs, including its food bank distribution network serving four counties, its home-delivered meal services offering food and friendship to homebound neighbors, and its free workforce development program providing lifechanging opportunities to people with high barriers to employment.
