New to this year’s Lewiston Jazz Festival, attendees will have the opportunity to win a one-year lease on a 2026 Ford Maverick, generously donated by Basil Ford of Niagara Falls.
The truck will be parked on Center Street throughout the festival, where visitors can see the vehicle and purchase raffle tickets.
Speaking of the 2026 Ford Maverick, Basil Ford of Niagara Falls General Manager James Cain said, “It’s a real popular vehicle for us. It’s affordable; good on gas; all-wheel-drive; has interior space like a small SUV, but also the utility of a bed on the back, if you will. It’s a great Western New York kind of vehicle.”
The Upward Niagara Chamber of Commerce manages the Lewiston Jazz Festival. President Amanda Haseley said, “The car lease raffle actually came from one of our Jazz Festival board members, and we thought it was a great idea. We reached out to our local dealerships, and Basil Ford of Niagara Falls jumped right on board. Having the vehicle right on Center Street adds some extra excitement to the weekend, and raffles like this are an important part of our operating budget and help us keep the festival free.”
Cain added, “Lewiston – right down the street – it’s one of our primary market areas. We’ve been, over the past few years, coming out of COVID, trying to do more community-based events. We couldn’t think of a more high-profile thing to do than to give away a one-year lease at the Jazz Festival. For Niagara County, it’s probably one of the biggest events there is.”
The winning ticket will be drawn live on Saturday evening, Aug. 29. Official raffle rules and additional information are available at www.lewistonjazz.com.
