Applications available for WNY nonprofits for Ford Friendship Express program

Local nonprofits encouraged to apply for opportunity to receive a new 2024 Ford Transit van

Western New York Ford Dealers announced applications are now available for local nonprofits for the 2024 Ford Friendship Express program. 2024 marks the 27th year for this philanthropic initiative where community groups and charitable organizations apply for the opportunity to receive a new Ford van.

The Ford Friendship Express program was created by the Western New York Ford Dealers to share the gift of mobility with area nonprofits in need of reliable transportation. Since its inception in 1996, the program has donated more than 100 new vehicles to more than 75 local organizations.

SABAH (Spirited Athletes Bold at Heart), NativityMiguel Middle School of Buffalo and Buffalo Maritime Center were the latest organizations to join the Ford Friendship Express Family as 2023 recipients. Additional past recipients include the ECMC Foundation, The Club of Springville, FeedMore WNY, Buffalo City Mission, The Dale Association and Renaissance Addiction Services, Camp Good Days, Hearts and Hands, the Niagara SPCA and many more.

All nonprofit organizations operating within Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus or Allegany counties, or the Pennsylvania counties of McKean and Potter, are eligible to apply.

Applications and guidelines are available at www.buyfordnow.com under the “local events” tab. The deadline to apply is July 31.

Charities are encouraged to share stories that demonstrate their need for improved transportation. All applications must be received by July 31 to be eligible for consideration for the 2024 program. Send completed applications to:
