YouTube to unveil accompanying video captured during Dixon's Winter Jam set today at noon

Press Release

Atlantic Recording artist Colton Dixon is surprising fans with a brand-new live version of his hit track "UP+UP." Available now across all DSPs, YouTube will unveil an accompanying live video filmed during Dixon's Winter Jam set today at noon (EST).

Currently No. 2 on the Billboard Christian AC chart, No. 4 on both the Mediabase Christian Audience chart and Billboard Christian Airplay chart, and No. 3 on the Mediabase Christian AC chart, the song literally continues to climb "up + up" each week.

"Life is tough, but I believe God wants the best for us," Dixon shared about the song, which is based on Jeremiah 29:11. "Though life doesn’t come without trials, I believe that God’s plan is to give us hope and a future – a plan that always says ‘up and up’ again.

"Musically, I wanted to mirror the message of this song, which is this: 'don’t let life knock you down, but put your hope in God and he will take you ‘up and up’ again.' "

Dixon is currently joining Skillet and Anne Wilson for Winter Jam 2025. Hitting 38 cities across the country, full routing and line up are available here.

More about Colton Dixon

Dixon turns personal truths, stories and experiences into universal anthems. He first emerged as a phenomenon after finishing in the top seven on season 11 of “American Idol.” Delivering a series of fan-favorite albums, 2013’s “A Messenger” achieved the biggest first-week sales by a new solo Christian act and catapulted into the Top 15 of the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart.

Dixon also joined the iconic company of Harry Connick Jr. and Billy Joel as a Steinway & Sons artist.

A year later, “Anchor” yielded his third and fourth No. 1 hits on Christian Hot AC with “More of You” and “Through It All.” In 2017, he returned to No. 1 on the Christian Albums Chart for the third time.

He has collected a pair of Dove Awards in the categories of Rock/Contemporary Album and Recorded Music Packaging. Following an invite from the White House, he also shined at the 2019 National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in addition to performing on “Good Morning America,” “Entertainment Tonight” and in the pages of People magazine.

During 2020, he embarked on a new chapter with Atlantic Records ignited by the self-titled “Colton Dixon” EP and runaway hit “Miracles” – one of his most popular tracks to date.

2022 saw him make his show-stopping debut at the Grand Ole Opry amid kicking off another era and experiencing a creative breakthrough with “Build A Boat.” Between the original and duet version with multi-Platinum country songstress Gabby Barrett, it has reeled in over 100 million streams. It stood out as the longest-running Mediabase Christian AC No. 1 song of 2022, and locked down No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs Chart and Christian AC Airplay Chart. People premiered the accompanying music video and hailed it as “inspiring” for its depiction of the work of medical charity Mercy Ships.

Dixon captivated once again on his 2023 EP, “Canvas” (Atlantic Records), introduced by the top 10 single “My Light," as well as his 2023 Christmas single, "Home for Christmas."

2024 brought new music from Dixon, starting with his brand-new track, “Rest of My Life” being used as the closing song for the new Angel Studios film “Sight,” starring Terry Chen and Greg Kinnear, and brand-new radio single, "UP+UP."
