FeedMore WNY Press Release

The FeedMore WNY Foundation’s popular plant sale is back in time for Mother’s Day gifts and spring planting for flowers, fruits and vegetables. From Monday, April 7, through Monday April 28, participants have the option to purchase hanging baskets, potted plants, and annual flats. Order online at www.feedmorewny.org/plant-sale.

Participants who place an online order will select a voucher for redemption at either Lavocat's Family Greenhouse and Nursery, 8441 County Road, East Amherst; Bengert Greenhouses, 230 French Road, West Seneca; or Chiavetta’s Potatoes and Greenhouse, 9784 Brant Angola Road, Angola. The voucher can only be used at the specific location for which it was purchased. Participants may select their plants at Lavocat’s, Bengert Greenhouses, and Chiavetta’s Potatoes and Greenhouse throughout the month of May.

Proceeds from the plant sale will benefit FeedMore WNY as it continues its mission of providing dignity, hope, and a brighter future for Western New Yorkers in need.

“The FeedMore WNY Foundation’s annual plant sale offers a meaningful way to support FeedMore WNY while taking care of everything you need for spring planting. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful hanging basket for a Mother’s Day gift, a potted plant to kick off your vegetable garden, or annual flats to spruce up your landscaping, our three partner greenhouses have high-quality selections to suit your needs,” said Cait Evans, chief development officer for FeedMore WNY. “Proceeds from our plant sale support our community’s children, families, veterans, and older adults who need food assistance. We are grateful to everyone who participates in this annual fundraiser, as it enables FeedMore WNY to continue our mission of offering dignity, hope, and brighter futures for our neighbors in need.”
