Just Buffalo Literary Center Press Release
Just Buffalo Literary Center is announcing the 13th season of the Silo City Reading Series, a multigenre celebration of poetry, music, art and community held in Marine A, a 120-foot-high, 100-year-old grain silo at the edge of the Buffalo River.
Tickets for the series are offered for $15-$25, with a limited number of season tickets for $70, available at justbuffalo.org.
The three-event season begins June 28 with an event headlined by poet, translator and educator Graham Foust, author of “Terminations,” and London-based poet Amy De'Ath, New York City singer-songwriter Allegra Krieger, and Buffalo artist Chuck Tingley.
On July 26, poet Kenzie Allen, author of “Cloud Missives” – longlisted for the National Book Critics Circle – will be joined by Kenyon College professor and poet Andrew Grace, ambient Americana act happygroupppp, and visual artist and experimental filmmaker Crystal Z. Campbell.
The series concludes Aug. 30 with award-winning poets Donika Kelly and 2025 Just Buffalo Poetry Fellow Nabila Lovelace, a musical performance by pillow core indie rocker Charlie Martin (Hovvdy), and interdisciplinary artist Nicole Chochrek.
"The Silo City Reading Series is the greatest curated interdisciplinary arts series with poetry at its center that this city has ever produced. Every year I think, ‘Well, Just Buffalo can't possibly top last year's vibes at Silo City,’ but then of course, they do," said R.D. Pohl, literary critic, editor and journalist.
Silo City Reading Series events take place in the Marine A grain elevator, behind Duende at Silo City, 85 Silo City Row. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the events begin at 7:30 p.m. Capacity is limited and advance tickets are required. Books by featured poets in the series will be available for purchase on-site by Buffalo independent bookseller Fitz Books.
Just Buffalo Literary Center's mission is to create and strengthen communities through the literary arts. For 50 years, the organization has brought the world's most dynamic writers to Buffalo, hosted poetry events and readings, and supported the development of young writers.
