Songwriter and artist Pat Barrett has released a brand-new song, “Praise The Lord Forever.” Inspired by Psalm 103:1, “Praise The Lord Forever” is the first single Barrett has released as he continues to write and record new music this year. Listen to “Praise The Lord Forever.”

“I wanted a song that feels like Sunday morning – and this one means so much to me. It’s been filling my heart with worship in the most simple and beautiful way,” Barrett said.

Barrett has become a premier songwriter in the modern worship genre as he has co-written songs such as the No. 1 Billboard Christian Airplay and Billboard Christian AC radio RIAA Gold Certified single, “Build My Life,” as well as hit songs “Good Good Father,” “The Way (New Horizon),” and the Grammy-nominated 2024 smash single “Praise” (Elevation Worship). He has more than 713 million career streams and 1.8 million Spotify listeners. Barrett is also a member of the new worship collective Sons Of Sunday, with the latest album available now.

This October, Barrett will be on the road with the anticipated and already selling-out “King of Hearts Tour” with Brandon Lake and special guest Franni Cash. Find tickets here.

As a respected songwriter and artist in the broader worship music community, Barrett has penned popular songs, including the No. 1 Billboard Christian Airplay and Billboard Christian AC radio hit, as well as the RIAA Gold Certified single, "Build My Life.” He has also written top songs such as “The Way (New Horizon)” and “Good Good Father.”

Barrett, an artist based in Atlanta, released his solo debut album in 2018. He was nominated for the prestigious New Artist of the Year for the 49th GMA Dove Awards. He is also the first signing on Chris Tomlin’s label imprint, Bowyer & Bow, in partnership with Capitol CMG. In 2021, he released his studio project, “Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly,” a 17-track studio album featuring songs such as "Morning By Morning (I Will Trust)," "As For Me (Featuring Chris Tomlin)," and the title track. He released studio album “Shelter” in October 2023.
