Niagara County Clerk Joseph A. Jastrzemski announced that those who need to take notary exams can now do so at the SUNY Niagara campus rather than having to drive to downtown Buffalo. The exams are offered twice a month.
“My office has been working with the New York Department of State and SUNY Niagara on establishing a Niagara County location for taking notary exams, and I’m very pleased to announce we have done so,” Jastrzemski said. “We offered our first exam on May 22 and everything went well. Now, we really want to get the word out so people will utilize this convenient location.
The exams are given at SUNY Niagara, 3111 Saunders Settlement Road, in Building E (Humanities and Social Sciences), Room E125. The exams will be offered on the following dates: Thursdays, June 26, July 10, July 24, Aug. 14, Aug. 28, Sept. 11, Sept. 25, Oct. 9, Oct. 23, Nov. 13, Nov. 20, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18.
“We are happy to partner with the County Clerk’s Office and the Department of State to offer notary exams on our campus,” SUNY Niagara President Lloyd Holmes said. “One of the roles of a community college is to help people acquire the credentials they need to be successful, so hosting the notary exams is a logical fit. For us, there is also the added benefit of welcoming more people to SUNY Niagara who will be able to see all that we have to offer.”
