Press Release
Grammy-award winning artist Chris Tomlin announced his upcoming new album, “The King Is Still The King,” and his new single, “How Good It Is,” yesterday during an appearance on “Fox & Friends All-American Summer Concert Series.” “How Good It Is” is his brand-new radio single and will be included on his 18th studio album, “The King Is Still The King,” scheduled to be released Friday, Sept. 26.
Tomlin talked about his new album here. The album’s preorder is available here.
“ ‘How Good It Is’ is a celebration of the greatness of God, the goodness of God, and the faithfulness of God,” Tomlin said. “Nearly every word is pulled directly from Scripture – from Psalm 92, 98, 100 and 113. When we sing it together, we’re proclaiming God’s word, and there’s something powerful in that.”
He said about the upcoming new project, "If I could pick one word to describe this album, it would be celebration. Scripture talks so often about creation praising God – rivers clap their hands and mountains sing. I wanted to bring that into the album using the sounds God created: wind, thunder, rain, waves and birds. This record is full of sounds that celebrate who God is. Not just in lyrics, but in how it feels. My hope is the whole record brings joy and life – lifting people up in their spirit.”
“How Good It Is,” written by Tomlin, Jess Cates and Jordan Mohilowski, is available across all digital platforms now. Click here to watch Tomlin on “Fox & Friends All-American Summer Concert Series.” See the "How Good It Is" lyric video here.
