Niagara County Department of Public Works Commissioner Garret Meal announced the Feigle-Fisk Road Bridge over the Erie Canal in the Town of Pendleton will be closed for repairs beginning Monday, July 28. Signage is already in place to alert motorists. Detour signs will be posted.
Hunting Valley Construction was awarded a contract in the amount of $388,402 to perform the work, which includes repairs to the concrete deck followed by application of a protective overlay. The work is expected to be completed in early October, at which time the bridge will reopen.
“I know the bridge closing may create some inconvenience for motorists, but I ask the public to be patient as the county undertakes this very necessary repair project,” Meal said. “We’ve had a good season, thus far, for road and bridge work, and I thank our team and our contractors for their efforts. Hopefully, the good weather continue and we can stay on, or even get a little ahead of, the schedule.”
