Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will start Native American Heritage Month in unbeatable style when it hosts the third annual Indigenous fashion show in the Seneca Niagara Event Center at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. Tickets for this celebration of Native American culture and style are on sale.
The Indigenous fashion show will showcase a blend of traditional and contemporary designs, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and artistry of Indigenous fashion.
After two years on the casino mezzanine, the show moves into the Seneca Niagara Event Center this year, allowing more attendees to get an up-close look at the creations from talented designers from across Turtle Island, as presented by a roster of Indigenous models.
“The excitement and reception to our Indigenous fashion show continues to grow each year,” Seneca Niagara Resort & Casio General Manager Joanne Israel said. “The show is a celebration of the power, culture, tradition and creativity of Indigenous fashion. We’re expanding the show into a larger venue this year to help give our Indigenous designers and models a larger platform to showcase their talents to a wider audience.”
This year’s runway show will feature the designs of 13 selected Indigenous designers: Bitterwater for Redhouse; Bruno Henry; Cami Jones Designs; G-Gei-Sas; Homer Couture; Kreations by Kehala; Martha LeRoy Designs; Pidabinikwe; ResiliencexCarlyKoban; Shinymoon Creations; Stray; The Snipes Nest; and Tisha Thompson.
In addition, the handiwork of accessory designers Beads by Arielle, Mary Jacobs Designs, and The Urban Gaiyowah will accent the fashion selections being modeled throughout the show.
Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino officials expect to announce some high-profile appearances at the fashion show very soon.
After the show, attendees can shop exclusive runway pieces and other handcrafted creations at a number of designer pop-up shops.
The third annual Indigenous fashion show is an ages 16-and-older event. For tickets, updates or more information, visit senecaniagaracasino.com or call 1-877-8-SENECA (1-877-873-6322).
