The Niagara History Center’s Step Back In Time Players will offer a public walking tour of Lockport’s historic Cold Springs Cemetery at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7. The tour will be led by the History Center’s Geoff Koplas, and Linda Lee of Cold Springs Cemetery.
Guests will meet several of the famous persons who are buried there, and hear about their lives and times. Among the famous “residents” of the cemetery: Charlotte Cross, Jesse Hawley, Doctor Sarah Lamb Cushing, Birdsall Holly, and a wife on the home front during the Civil War.
Members of the public should meet at the Cold Springs Cemetery parking area at 4849 Cold Springs Road, Lockport. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and, if desired, a seat. Donation is $10 per person. Both cash and checks are accepted.
