Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Patrick J. Washington III, 20 years old, of Buffalo, was sentenced today to 17 years in prison followed by five years post-release supervision on his conviction of manslaughter in the first degree. Washington previously plead guilty to intentionally running 26-year-old Xavier T. Gober of Niagara Falls over with his vehicle and causing his death on Oct. 15, 2024, on Hyde Park Boulevard in the City of Niagara Falls.
The case was investigated by the Niagara Falls Police Department and prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Doreen Hoffmann and Assistant District Attorney Carrington Crossley. County Court Judge Caroline Wojtaszek imposed the sentence.
