University at Buffalo Press Release

The University at Buffalo Center for the Arts (UBCFA) welcomes Grammy Award-winning artist Joss Stone to the Mainstage Theater this Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 p.m., as part of her “Less Is More” tour. Tickets are available now at ubcfa.org, Ticketmaster, or at the UBCFA ticket office.

This special performance offers audiences an intimate evening featuring Stone’s powerful vocals and stripped-back arrangements.

Since her acclaimed debut album, “The Soul Sessions,” at age 16, Stone has captivated audiences worldwide with her soulful, genre-defying style. With nine studio albums, over 15 million copies sold, and more than 1 billion streams in the U.S. alone, she has performed with icons including Stevie Wonder, Sting, Van Morrison, Gladys Knight and Herbie Hancock.

“We’re honored to welcome Joss Stone to our Mainstage Theater this week,” said Jamie Enser, executive director of the UB Center for the Arts. “An intimate evening like this, sharing her powerful vocals and remarkable range of musical styles, will be a memorable experience for our audience.”

Recent highlights include Stone’s “20 Years of Soul” anniversary tour and live album (2023), the “Ellipsis Tour” (2024), and her latest single, “Loving You,” (2024). A new studio album is expected in 2025.
