Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced Lamarrio A. Clark, 28, of Buffalo, was sentenced before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan. He received a determinate sentence of 25 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision, the maximum for his conviction.
On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m., the defendant shot the victim with an illegal handgun on the first block of Warring Avenue near Genesee Street in the City of Buffalo. The victim, 28-year-old Corbin J. Kinsey Sr., was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he later died.
Clark pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter in the first degree (class B violent felony) on Aug. 20. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge in full satisfaction of the indictment.
Keane commends the Buffalo Police Department for its work in this investigation.
The case was prosecuted by Chief Cathleen M. Roemer of the felony trials bureau, Assistant District Attorney Nicholas Marino of the Raise the Age/motor vehicle theft insurance fraud unit, and Assistant District Attorney John P. Gerken Jr. of the homicide bureau.
