New York State Department of Transportation press release
The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that, beginning Monday, March 23, the eastbound lane of North French Road between Interstate 990 and Campbell Boulevard (state Route 270) in the Town of Amherst, will be closed on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic will be shifted into the center turning lane.
The lane closure is necessary to facilitate a highway improvement project and is expected to continue for up to three weeks.
NYSDOT expects to close the westbound lane of North French Road and once again shift traffic into the center turning lane around the second week of May. Drivers should expect delays and consider alternate routes when possible.
