Niagara Hospice press release & photo
“Wings of Hope,” a community remembrance event hosted by Niagara Hospice, will take place from 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, on the Niagara Hospice campus, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport. The nonprofit organization invites the community to gather for an afternoon of remembrance, reflection and family-friendly activities. The event’s presenting “Monarch” sponsor is Wendt’s Propane & Oil.
The program will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Dominic Lariccia Family Pavilion, followed by activities in the memorial gardens continuing through 3:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to submit a photo of their loved one to be included in the special memorial display. Handmade butterfly suncatchers are also available for a $10 donation.
Following the program, families can enjoy activities, including: a duck pond, rock painting, “adopt a butterfly friend,” memorial photo display, butterfly crafts, face-painting and refreshments.
