Mount St. Mary's neurology center welcomes Dr. Minsoo Kang

Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, in association with Catholic Health, announced Minsoo Kang, M.D., has joined its Neurology Center located at 4600 Military Road, Lewiston.

Board-certified in neurology with more than 30 years of clinical experience, Kang specializes in headache medicine, treating conditions such as migraines, cluster headaches, tension headaches, post-traumatic headaches, and chronic daily headaches; intracranial hypertension and hypotension; and trigeminal and occipital neuralgia. His expertise includes Botox injections, occipital nerve blocks, trigeminal nerve blocks, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks, and trigger point injections.

Kang earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the Catholic University of Korea in Seoul. He completed neurology residencies at Catholic University Medical Center in Seoul and the State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by a neuro-oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Before joining Mount St. Mary’s, Kang was a headache specialist at Neurological Associates of Washington, in Bellevue, Washington. He is returning to Western New York where he served as director of WNY Headache Center, co-chair of the Headache Center at Dent Neurological Institute, and on the neuro-oncology staff at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is certified by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties for Headache Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Additionally, he is a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York, the American Headache Society, and the American Academy of Neurology.
