Sean Rodriguez and Disciple join forces for electrifying 'It Is Finished'

The latest in a string of head-turning singles showcasing pop, worship, hip-hop and now hard-rock influences, WieRok Entertainment singer/songwriter Sean Rodriguez joins forces with genre tastemaker Disciple for “It Is Finished.” Written by Rodriguez and Will Strotz and produced by Greg GREGATRON Williams, the electrifying anthem – a battle cry mobilizing believers to stand firm in Jesus’ victory – is now available on streaming platforms.

Rodriguez and Disciple’s Kevin Young trade vocals on the track’s potent verses, delivering a one-two punch to Satan’s lies and deceit: “Devil may try to fight it/Enemy may deny it/But the victory is already in stone.” Further magnifying the song’s power, Rodriguez’s signature lightning-speed rap is showcased in the bridge, giving way to a defiantly triumphant chorus. 

“With his final words, ‘It is finished,’ Jesus declared his plan was complete and he claimed victory for us over the enemy,” Rodriguez shared. “This song was written to recognize that our victory is not a result of anything we have done, but what Christ has done for us. I hope it gets listeners fired up about their calling in life. Since Jesus has won the victory, I can fully pursue his will for my life knowing that the enemy cannot stand in the way. I want people to hear ‘It Is Finished’ and feel like they can overcome anything.” 

"It Is Finished" marks the first collaboration for Rodriguez and Young, after forging an immediate friendship as tourmates on Winter Jam 2023.

“Kevin’s voice raises this song to an insanely hype level,” Rodriguez said. “He came into the studio and blew us all away, and for an anthem of victory, there’s no better voice out there than his.”

Aptly culminating a year of diverse single releases from Rodriguez, “It Is Finished” joins “Jesus Will,” “House of God” and “Honey” in comprising four of six tracks to be featured on the “Jesus Will” EP, slated for release next year.
