Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced Keyondre Robertson, also known as “Kano,” 22, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty this morning before State Supreme Court Justice Paul B. Wojtaszek to one count of manslaughter in the first degree (class “B” violent felony) and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class “C” violent felony).
On Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at approximately 2 a.m., the defendant shot the victim with an illegal gun on Lang Avenue near Ericson Avenue in the City of Buffalo. The victim, 25-year-old John L. Craig, died at the scene.
Robertson faces a maximum of 40 years in prison when he is sentenced Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. He remains held without bail.
Keane commends Det. Mark White and Det. Scott Malec of the Buffalo Police Department for their work in this investigation.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney John P. Gerken Jr. of the homicide bureau.
