Press Release

The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, the Buffalo History Museum, Friends of Japanese Garden and Music Is Art are hosting the 12th annual Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27.

The community is invited to join us at this vibrant and free festival, which includes over 35 local vendors and food trucks, and an exciting lineup of talented performers and artists curated by Music Is Art. This annual festival welcomes spring to Western New York, honors the longstanding sister-city relationship between Buffalo and Kanazawa, Japan, and celebrates Japanese art and culture with the community.

Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and is free for all to attend. It will be held at the Buffalo History Museum and Japanese Garden in Delaware Park, 1 Museum Court, Buffalo.

Free parking is available during the festival in Lot R-14 on the Buffalo State Campus located at Rockwell Drive and Rees Street (past the entrance for the Richardson Olmsted Complex). The Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival is approximately a 0.9 mile walk from the parking lot. See Google Map pin for parking lot location.
