Niagara Area Foundation announces new members of its council

The Niagara Area Foundation, a geographic affiliate of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, announced two local leaders have joined its council in 2025: Angelica Douglas, human resources project manager at Seneca Gaming Corp.; and Philip Haseley, retired professor of anthropology at SUNY Niagara.

Douglas founded “Angelica’s Touch of Peace,” which provides spiritual healing and life coaching, and provides support to domestic violence survivors, assisting them in safely transitioning out of abusive situations and rebuilding their lives with stability and confidence. She earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from DeVry Institution and a certification in paralegal studies/legal secretary from Cheryl Fells School of Business. She also earned a B.S. in community and human services with a concentration in criminal justice from SUNY Empire State College.

Haseley dedicated 35 years to shaping young minds at SUNY Niagara, having taught in both the anthropology and biology departments. Throughout his career, Haseley was recognized for his exceptional teaching, earning both the prestigious SUNY Chancellor’s Award and the NISOD National Teaching Award. He graduated from SUNY Geneseo and earned his doctorate in anthropology from SUNY Buffalo.

Other members of the Niagara Area Foundation Council include: Jennifer Pauly, chair; Patricia Wrobel, vice chair; Margaret Nucci, secretary; Brenda Dysinger, treasurer; Julie R. Berrigan; Allen Booker; Jane Killewald; Marianne E. Koenig; Michelle Vanstrom; Michael Williamson; and Richard Zucco.
