Erie County Fair Press Release
The audition videos are in and now it’s time for the public to help choose the winning choir that will take the stage with Foreigner this August at the Erie County Fair! Two finalists made the cut: Starpoint High School Choir and the Kenmore West Chamber Singers.
Voting is open to the public through 11:59 p.m. May 7, and can be accessed at www.ecfair.org/foreignercontest. Each voter is allowed one vote per email address per day.
One of these two talented student choirs will join Rock & Roll Hall of Fame act Foreigner in performing the iconic hit, "I Want to Know What Love Is," at the Buffalo News Grandstand on Thursday, Aug. 7. In addition, Foreigner will donate $500 to the winning choir’s music program.
This unique opportunity with Foreigner at the Erie County Fair was brought together in partnership with WIVB-TV and Cumulus Media. The contest is part of the band's ongoing support of music education through its collaboration with the Grammy Foundation, which aims to promote the importance of music and the arts in public schools across North America.
Mark your calendar! Tickets for the Aug. 7 show will go on sale starting June 6 at ECFair.org. Buy in advance to receive free admission to the venue on the day of the concert.
