Niagara Pride Press Release
Niagara Pride is proud to announce its fourth annual WNY LGBTQ+ Pride & Wellness 5K event, to be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10. This is a fun event, with participants welcome to run, strut or sashay across the finish line!
Registration is available at www.niagarapride.org/wnypride5k with same-day signup available for $35 adults or $20 students. Vendor tables are available for $45 until May 9 at www.niagarapride.org/2025vendorinfo.
Funds raised during the event will support creation of a new drop-in program in Niagara County for LGBTQ+ youth. The program, set to launch this fall, will be offered at Niagara Pride’s new offices on Main Street in Niagara Falls. Additionally, funds raised support Niagara Pride’s ongoing scholarships and GSA grant programs, which are open to all of WNY.
Participants in the 5K will receive free lunch with registration, including hot dogs, chips, soda and water. Parking for the event is free on campus.
In addition to the walk/run, the event will include informational tables from sponsors and health and wellness vendors sharing information about medical, mental health, addictions treatment, legal, financial and other topics. Also in attendance: artisans, crafters and other vendors will be featured in the Shopping with Pride Village.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the day, with performances by Willa DeWhisp, Neleh Slay and Sober 16 guest emcee Andy “Mister Mocktail” Krumm, and music by Energy Radio Buffalo. Other special guests include Melissa from Evolve, doing a pre-5k warm-up; author Will Mason; and members of Justice League of WNY.
Discover Niagara Shuttle will provide free transportation throughout Niagara County, allowing for greater accessibility to the event. For a complete schedule and pick-up/drop-off locations, go to www.niagarapride.org/wnypride5k.
