Destination Niagara USA Press Release
Niagara Falls USA is proud to announce it will host the 101st annual New York State and Bermuda Lions Convention from May 16-18. Approximately 600 attendees, including two past international presidents, will convene at the Niagara Falls Convention Center for a weekend of trainings, workshops and networking opportunities.
Attendees will be staying at the Sheraton Niagara Falls and Hyatt Place Niagara Falls, generating an estimated economic impact of $614,188.91 for the destination. The Lions last held their annual convention in Niagara Falls in 2022. Their vote to return underscores the destination’s strong appeal and hospitality.
“Members are excited to attend the convention in Niagara Falls, as it is a well-known destination; and their families are looking forward to joining them for the trip,” said Tim Jachlewski, past council chair and secretary treasurer of the New York State and Bermuda Lions.
While the convention will take place at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, attendees and their families will also have the opportunity to experience local attractions, restaurants, and the many scenic and cultural offerings throughout Niagara County.
“Hosting the Lions Convention is a true honor for our community,” said John Percy, president and CEO of Destination Niagara USA. “We’re thrilled to welcome this incredible organization back to Niagara Falls USA. Their return is a testament to the unforgettable experiences our destination offers – and we’re excited to once again share our iconic sights, exceptional hospitality, and vibrant downtown with them.”
