Press Release

Today, CMA and ACM award-winning singer-songwriter and country sensation Riley Green releases “Midtown Sessions,” a new acoustic EP via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment – a raw, stripped-back project showcasing his artistry like never before. The new EP, which was produced by Erik Dylan, follows on the heels of Green’s widely acclaimed full length record, “Don’t Mind If I Do,” which was released last October.

“Midtown Sessions” came to life over the past year and throughout Green’s nonstop touring across the globe. Rooted in his love for ’90s country and back-to-basics approach, the EP strips everything down to the essentials – letting Green’s unmistakable voice, timeless storytelling, and Southern charm take center stage.

Throughout the project, Green also took on the role of producer on solo-written tracks “Worst Way” and “Jesus Saves,” as well as a stripped-down rendition of Tim McGraw’s “The Cowboy in Me.” “Worst Way” recently became his fifth No. 1 hit and has been certified double-Platinum by the RIAA.

Currently on his largest tour to date, Green’s “Damn Country Music Tour” kicked off in Canada earlier this year and will make stops in New York, Chicago, Boston, the U.K. and more through November. Additionally, the dynamic performer recently announced his second annual “Duckman Jam,” taking place Nov. 22 in Little Rock, Arkansas. For the show, Green has teamed up with Ducks Unlimited to donate $5 from every ticket sold in support of conserving North America's wetlands and the wildlife that depend on them. More about Riley Green

Green has been compelling country music fans to raise a drink, shed a tear, and, above all, celebrate where they are from, since first releasing his self-titled EP in 2018. His songs, like the No. 1 two-times-Platinum hit “There Was This Girl,” the three-times-Platinum-certified heart-tugger “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” and his chart-topping collab with Thomas Rhett, “Half Of Me,” have made Riley synonymous with what country music does best: making listeners feel something with his no-gimmick, relatable writing and classic feel.

An avid sports fan, former athlete (Jacksonville State University quarterback) and outdoorsman, Green is riding a wave of success after receiving four Academy of Country Music awards, being previously named a MusicRow Breakout Artist of the Year, a CMT “Listen Up Artist,” and one of CRS’s 2020 “New Faces.” Luke Combs joined Riley on his third two-times-Platinum No. 1 single, “Different ‘Round Here (Ft. Luke Combs),” the title track to Green’s 2019 debut album that he rerecorded with Combs after seeing how fans connected to it.

The singer-songwriter’s third studio album, “Don't Mind If I Do,” produced by Dann Huff, arrived on his birthday, Oct. 18, via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment, with more of the signature Green fans have come to know and love from the good ol’ boy who still lives in his hometown of Jacksonville, Alabama.

Currently on an incredible hot streak, Green’s well-earned confidence in his work shines through across the 18-track set with five of the tracks being solely written including standouts “Jesus Saves,” the two-times-Platinum “Worst Way” and the title track – which finds Green reuniting with his “you look like you love me” duet partner and recent tourmate Ella Langley.
