Niagara County is partnering with the Starpoint Central School District and paint-recycling company GreenSheen to host a paint recycling event this Saturday, July 26, at the Starpoint campus in Pendleton. Niagara County residents and businesses are welcome to bring up to 100 gallons of latex or oil-based paint in its original container to the event for collection at no cost.

“Our collection event at Starpoint always has a tremendous turnout and we are prepared to handle even more people this year, with staff on hand to unload cars for residents so they do not even need to exit their vehicles,” Niagara County Legislator Tony Nemi said. “This is a chance to properly recycle those old paint cans that have been kicking around your basement or garage.”

The free community paint collection event (latex and oil paint in original containers, only) will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Starpoint Central Schools, 4363 Mapleton Road, Lockport. Please enter the collection event through driveway “A.”

Registration for this event is required and can be done by going to https://www.rethinkyourwaste.com/events and clicking on this event. There are still many open time slots available.
