On Wednesday, the Aquarium of Niagara hosted a 60th anniversary birthday bash and "Party on the Plaza" community festival. For the occasion, the Aquarium of Niagara’s public outdoor space, Whirlpool Commons, was transformed into an epicenter for fun, family-friendly activities, community resources, and summer celebrations.
Now in its fourth year, the event annually welcomes more than 500 people of all ages.
“Party on the Plaza 2025” was sponsored by Niagara Falls State Park and included a special guest – a mermaid stilt walker – as well as and hula hoopers, a DJ, photo booth, ambassador animals, face painting, glitter tattoos, a dunk tank and refreshments.
The Aquarium of Niagara is located at 701 Whirlpool St.
