Press Release

Hyde Park East welcomes shoppers and potential new neighbors to the third annual neighborhood yard sale on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-10. The neighborhood is minutes away from Lewiston, and a stone’s throw away from Exit 23 Porter/Packard Road on the 190. Hyde Park East is a treasured neighborhood in midtown Niagara Falls.

The residents love it here and that has compelled Brook, who bought her house here 15 years ago, to organize an annual neighborhood yard sale. She also sees an opportunity to show off to potential new neighbors, who may be looking for a home in the neighborhood.

“The area is going to be filled with shoppers. So, why not let people know that they can not only buy what goes in the home, but an entire house!” she said.

Noah Munoz, of Heritage Team at Iconic Real Estate, jumped on board to offer an open house during the neighborhood sale weekend, from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at 2673 North Ave., a property listed for sale.

“We love showing off homes in this neighborhood. I’m pleased to partner with the residents and have this open house,” he said.

Munoz noted “homes don’t last long in this amazing Niagara Falls neighborhood. As long as the house is still available for sale on Saturday, we will be there!”

Once again, the event features a QR code, which links salegoers to the Facebook event page. It lists the addresses participating, hours, and a highlight of items.

“With over a dozen homes listed as participants so far, it is going to be a great weekend,” Brook sale.

The sale boasted about 2,000 attendees from Niagara, Erie, and Orleans counties last year, with another 100 or so who traveled in from Canada.

“We love coming to this neighborhood sale every year. The use of the QR code is so clever and the area is so walkable,” said Kate, an attendee from Orchard Park.

There is plenty of parking around the North and Jerauld avenues pocket park. This section of Hyde Park East is bordered by Linwood Avenue, the Hyde Park Golf Course, the railyard, and Hyde Park Boulevard. Each home has a range of items – from children’s clothes and toys, to furniture, antiques and household items.

The sale has varying times between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The list of participating homes and details of items for sale is available on the event Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/share/1NajYofXbs/. For more information, email NiagaraFallsLove@gmail.com.
