‘The King Is Still The King’ to be released Sept. 26; album preorder available now

Press Release

Grammy-award winning artist Chris Tomlin released another song, “Doesn’t He,” from his upcoming new album, “The King Is Still The King,” scheduled for release Sept. 26.

“Doesn’t He,” written by Tomlin, Patrick Mayberry and Jess Cates, is available today across all digital service providers here. It follows the release of his new radio single “How Good It Is” – Tomlin’s largest debut since his song, “Thank You Lord” with Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line, from his 13th studio album, “Chris Tomlin & Friends” (2020).

“There’s only one name that is worthy of all worship; worthy of all praise,” Tomlin said. “When we sing ‘Doesn’t he deserve it all,’ we are responding to the goodness of God, the greatness of God, the holiness of God.

“ ‘Doesn’t He’ was the very first song written for the upcoming album. It’s felt special from the start. … I am excited that the moment has come to release it!”

Tomlin has released the songs “The First Hymn,” “Doesn’t He” and his brand-new radio single “How Good It Is” in advance of his 18th studio album, which can be preordered here.

Tomlin, one of the most successful Christian touring artists in the world, will launch his Fall headlining tour, “An Evening of Worship with Chris Tomlin,” on Sept. 17 in Buffalo. He will be joined by and will introduce The Heritage for their inaugural tour. The show will be promoted by TPR and sponsored by Food For The Hungry.

Having sold out venues across the country including Madison Square Garden (New York City), the Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles), Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater (Denver) and Bridgestone Arena (Nashville), the most-often-sung artist in the world will bring his powerful night of worship back to its roots and where it all began – in churches across the country.
