Public invited to giveaway days on Wednesday & Thursday

Press Release

As the return of school draws closer, Community Missions will host a free school supply giveaway as part of its “Summer Giveaway Days,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Wednesday and Thursday. The public is invited to these events, which will take place at the Niagara Falls agency, 1570 Buffalo Ave. The event is sponsored by SNUG Niagara Falls.

Community Missions has held giveaway days throughout the summer, featuring items from its clothes closet, along with an outdoor cookout lunch from its community kitchen. This week’s event will include the clothes closet and lunch distributions, while also giving away backpacks and various school supplies, with children’s activities, and community partners in attendance.

“We are grateful to our SNUG Niagara Falls program in partnering with us to offer this free giveaway to get everyone ready for back-to-school,” said Christian Hoffman, vice president of public relations & development at Community Missions. “We know that back-to-school can be an expensive time for parents, so we are excited to provide backpacks, notebooks, binders, pencils, and lots of other necessary products for free to our neighbors. We will also have a free book fair thanks to a donor that wants to give back to Niagara Falls.”

Community Missions was recently added as a stop on NFTA Route 40, for residents in need of transportation to the event. For more information about the giveaway, call 716-285-3403.
