Gliding Stars of Western New York announced the start of its 2025-26 season, kicking off on Saturday, Oct. 5, in the Northtowns; and Sunday, Oct. 6, in the Southtowns. This season holds special significance as the program will celebrate its 20th anniversary ice show in March 2026 at the Paddock Chevrolet Ice Arena.
Gliding Stars provides individuals with disabilities, from 18 months through senior citizens, the opportunity to develop ice-skating skills in a supportive community environment. Skaters work alongside trained volunteers of all ages to build confidence, strength, and friendships both on and off the ice. The season culminates in the highly anticipated annual ice show, which this year will be a milestone celebration of 20 years of perseverance, progress, and the joy of skating!
Families, volunteers, and season sponsors are invited to be part of this milestone year. Sponsorships provide essential support for programs, ice time, costuming, and community events, and offer a chance to showcase your company’s commitment to inclusion and local engagement.
