United Way Press Release

Women United will host a compelling and inspiring evening with Mary Brennan-Taylor, vice president of programs at the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier, as she shares her personal connection to Alice Stokes Paul, a leader in the women’s suffrage movement.

This special event, which takes place Oct. 8 at the Kenan Center’s Taylor Theatre, will offer attendees the opportunity to hear firsthand stories of friendship, advocacy and historical impact.

Brennan-Taylor became involved in women's suffrage activism partly due to her own friendship with Paul, and she continues to share Alice’s story, through lectures, exhibits, and by serving as an advocate against medical errors, the cause of her own mother's death, which also had a personal connection to the story of Paul's father.

Reserve tickets by Oct. 2 online at https://bit.ly/RSVP_UWGN_Spotlight or by calling 716-731-4580.
