NBCUniversal Press Release

Operating smoothly and following in the footsteps of the other shows from the #OneChicago universe, “Chicago Med” takes its turn in marking the 200th installment when the hit medical series airs on Wednesday, Oct. 8 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT), on NBC.

To highlight the occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held on the “Med” stages in Chicago during production of the episode, with Dick Wolf on hand to honor the cast and crew.

Titled “A Game of Inches,” this second episode of season 11 welcomes back a familiar face when Nick Gehlfuss steps back through the doors of Gaffney Medical Center. Elsewhere, things get personal when Dr. Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Dr. Archer (Steven Weber) disagree over the treatment plans tied to an unusual case. Also, Dr. Asher (Jessy Schram) makes a surprising discovery with an expectant couple.

More about “Chicago Med”: From Emmy Award-winning executive producer Wolf (the “Law & Order,” “Chicago” and “FBI” brands), “Chicago Med” is an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s state-of-the-art trauma center and into the lives of the courageous doctors, nurses and staff who hold it all together. The series stars S. Epatha Merkerson, Steven Weber, Jessy Schram, Luke Mitchell, Sarah Ramos, Darren Barnet and Oliver Platt.

Wolf, Allen MacDonald, Stephen Hootstein and Peter Jankowski serve as executive producers.

“Chicago Med” is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
