Price Rite Marketplace shares Thanksgiving shopping guides to help families celebrate for approximately $40

Price Rite Marketplace is making it easier for families to plan their Thanksgiving meals with budget-friendly shopping lists. The retailer has developed two suggested shopping guides that show how customers can prepare a full meal for 8-10 people for approximately $40 – using regularly priced items available in stores.

The lists feature ingredients for two types of holiday meals:

•Traditional Thanksgiving meal: whole turkey; chicken broth; cream of mushroom condensed soup; Hawaiian sweet rolls; cut green beans (two); shells & cheese (two); brown gravy mix (three); pie (8-inch); poultry spices and herbs; stuffing mix (two); French fried onions; whipped dairy topping; yellow onions (3 lbs.); baby carrots (5 lbs.); celery; cranberry sauce; and russet potatoes (5 lbs.).

•Latino-inspired holiday meal: picnic (pork shoulder); rice (5 lbs. – bag); green pigeon peas (two); sazon; fresh yucca (four); plantains (four); russet potatoes (5 lbs.); eggs; shredded carrots; evaporated milk; mayonnaise; condensed milk; vanilla extract; elbow pasta (two) and an aluminum tray.

“Thanksgiving is about coming together, and we want to make it easier for everyone to celebrate with a complete holiday meal,” said Kevin McDonnell, president of Price Rite Marketplace. “Our holiday meal suggestions bring together the traditional foods our customers love with the convenience and value they rely on from Price Rite. To further support shoppers, Price Rite Marketplace is also offering a turkey price match: Customers who bring in a competitor’s ad showing a lower per-pound price on whole turkeys will receive a better deal – beating the advertised price by at least one cent per pound. This offer is available in-store through Nov. 27 at participating locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
