Collaborative philanthropic effort will continue to connect nonprofits with critical resources to accelerate their impact
Press Release
The Nonprofit Support Group, now called Impact HQ fueled by NSG, was established in 2019 by a group of local funders who recognized the need for a dynamic hub of resources and trusted partners that would be available to support any nonprofit serving the 9 counties of Western New York. Recognizing the important role nonprofits play in creating vibrant and thriving communities, this is the only local funder collaborative dedicated only to supporting the nonprofit sector by equipping them for success and accelerating their impact.
“We have been connecting nonprofits with critical resources since our formation – and one of those resources is a robust online hub called Impact HQ,” said Katie Pieri, director of Impact HQ fueled by NSG. “A critical piece of our mission is listening to the needs of nonprofits in our region and, as our collaborative effort evolved, we heard from organizations that it would be helpful to pull all our resources together under the Impact HQ umbrella to make it easier for them to access critical tools all in one place.”
Any professional working at a 501(c)3 organization in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans or Wyoming county can sign up for a free Impact HQ account at www.impact-hq.org. Resources available on Impact HQ range from free training opportunities for staff and boards, available sources of grant funding, skill-based volunteers willing to take on projects, and up-to-date trusted industry news given the rapidly changing governance landscape.
To date, Impact HQ fueled by NSG has served 1,000-plus nonprofits and nonprofit professionals in WNY and invested more than $3.1 million in program offerings.
The funders in the collaborative effort include: ESL Charitable Foundation, Health Foundation for Western & Central New York, John R. Oishei Foundation, Peter & Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation, Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation and the Western New York Foundation.
