Press Release
The parishioners and friends of St. Adalbert Basilica invite everyone to experience an "old-time Christmas in historic Polonia" this holiday season through a slate of events at St. Adalbert's, 212 Stanislaus St., Buffalo.
“AM&A's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas” window displays can be seen from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20; and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27. These days also feature St. Adalbert's holiday market with Christmas chocolates and handmade ornaments.
A Christmas Eve family mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 24, with the Rev. Cole Webster and featuring music by soprano Brittany Mruczek singing traditional songs in English and Polish. The AM&A's windows will be on display prior to the Mass.
A Christmas concert will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, featuring the St. John Paul Schola Cantorum. AM&A's windows will be on display beginning at 1 p.m.
All events are free to attend, with donations gratefully accepted to help repair St. Adalbert's stained-glass windows.
"Come back to the old neighborhood for Christmas this year with your parents and grandparents to relive old memories, and with your children and grandchildren to start new traditions," Friends of St. Adalbert Basilica President Tod Kniazuk said. "Shop at the Broadway Market, stop by the Central Terminal to see its progress, and come to St. Adalbert's and our other family parishes for a truly Buffalo Polish Christmas."
