Tops Friendly Markets, in partnership with By Abigail Lee and the Patricia Allen Fund, is proud to announce a new charitable initiative, “One Purchased, One Donated.” Through the Buy a Sock, Give a Sock campaign, every pair of socks designed by By Abigail Lee purchased at Tops Friendly Markets will result in a pair being donated to pediatric patients at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, bringing comfort, warmth and joy to children and families across Western New York.

Additionally, $5 from each pair sold will support the Patricia Allen Fund, which provides comfort and assistance to moms, kids and babies throughout the region. The socks feature a bold, Buffalo-inspired design, celebrating community pride while giving back to those who need it most.

“This initiative reflects the heart of our community,” said Jamie Emmick, category business manager from Tops Friendly Markets. “By turning a simple purchase into a meaningful act of kindness, we’re able to support local families and make a positive impact on children receiving care at Oishei. Not only are these socks giving the gift of warmth this holiday season to the children in the hospital, but are a perfect stocking-stuffer for your favorite football fan.”

“Longstanding partners like Tops, in addition to new partners like Abigail Lee, using their networks to support our children’s hospital is crucial to ensuring we can enhance programs, purchase equipment and elevate patient care,” said Andy Lashua, chief development officer for Kaleida Health. “We are so grateful to have partners like them, and the support of the Western New York community for the kids and families who rely on children’s hospital.”

Together, Tops Friendly Markets, By Abigail Lee, and the Patricia Allen Fund invite the community to join in spreading comfort, compassion, and hope – one pair of socks at a time. Socks can be found in over 50 select Tops locations throughout Western New York until the big game.

More about the Patricia Allen Fund: What started as a moment of tribute has become a movement of overwhelming support. Now, five years later, the Patricia Allen Fund community has helped thousands of kids get back to being kids. The Patricia Allen Fund at Oishei Children’s Hospital was established in 2020 with input from quarterback Josh Allen and his family, following a global outpouring of donations to the hospital in honor of Allen’s late grandmother, Patricia. The fund supports the hospital’s critical care team encompassed by the region’s only level I pediatric trauma program, pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), pediatric hematology/oncology program, and pediatric and neonatal transport teams. The Patricia Allen Fund provides equipment and technology updates, training and education for staff, and support programs for kids and families at OCH.
