YMCA Buffalo Niagara Press Release
YMCA Buffalo Niagara’s board of directors unanimously voted to name Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer Anne Reif as interim president and CEO, effective Jan. 17. Reif brings more than 45 years of experience to the Y, with six of those in her current COO role.
“With her deep-rooted community ties and proven leadership, Anne is uniquely qualified to steer the organization through this transition,” YMCA Buffalo Niagara Board of Directors Chairman Mark Lempko said.
“I am looking forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and to continue advancing the YMCA’s mission,” Reif said. “By working together, staying focused on our values, and listening to our community, we will keep making a positive impact in Western New York.”
Reif will serve in this role while the board of directors conducts a national search for its next CEO. YMCA Buffalo Niagara plans to have a permanent CEO in place this summer. The Y's current CEO, John Ehrbar, recently accepted a new position with the YMCA of Silicon Valley in California.
