League of Women Voters set 'Meet the Candidates Forum' for NYS Senate District 61

The League of Women Voters for Buffalo/Niagara and UB Voter will host a free “Meet the Candidates Forum” for candidates running in a special election for New York State Senate District 61.

Candidates certified by the Board of Elections have been invited to participate. There must be at least two candidates participating for the forum to be held. The forum is free and open to the public. It will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at the University at Buffalo Student Union, Room 330, 50 Lee Road, Buffalo.

Candidates Dan Gagliardo and Jeremy Zellner have confirmed attendance.

District 61 covers part of the City of Buffalo, City of Tonawanda, Town of Grand Island, Town of Tonawanda including the Village of Kenmore, and Amherst including the Village of Williamsville. Early voting begins Jan. 24 and goes through Feb. 1. Election Day is Tuesday, Feb. 3.
