Price Rite Marketplace celebrated its outstanding team of associates on Supermarket Employee Day (Sunday, Feb. 22), a day designated by The Food Industry Association to recognize supermarket employees for their commitment to feeding families and enriching lives.
Team members from nearly 50 Price Rite Marketplace stores were acknowledged for the essential role they play in providing quality service to the communities where Price Rite stores are located. To mark the day, Price Rite Marketplace employees received complimentary lunches, company T-shirts, and letters of thanks from Price Rite’s leadership team. Leadership and support teams also visited store locations to thank team members in person.
The recognition was a follow-up to the company’s annual meeting celebration this month, when leaders and longtime team members were recognized for their service.
Daniil (Danny) Kondratyuk, store manager of the Price Rite Marketplace of Cheektowaga, was named Price Rite Marketplace’s Store Manager of the Year. Kondratyuk was awarded a trophy and gift certificate for driving sales growth, team member engagement, community involvement, and training and development support for his colleagues.
Five Price Rite district managers were also recognized for their achievements during the company’s annual meeting, and Systems Specialist Carlos Feliciano was honored for his three decades with Price Rite, which also marked its 30th anniversary in 2025.
After 30 years, Price Rite Marketplace remains committed to its founding values: offering customers an easy and affordable shopping experience, delivering top national brands and fresh produce at exceptional prices, and strengthening local communities through hands-on service and support.
“The exceptional service our team delivers each day is the foundation of our company’s strength. We are grateful for their hard work and the positive impact they have on our stores and communities,” said Kevin McDonnell, president of Price Rite Marketplace. “Supermarket Employee Day gives us a special moment to acknowledge those efforts and to thank every member of the team for the difference they make each day.”
