Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Edward J. Parmer Sr., 65 years old, pleaded guilty as charged this morning to the crime of murder in the second degree. Parmer admitted to stabbing 48-year-old Jeanine M. Scull to death in their home in Niagara Falls on July 24, 2024. The defendant will be sentenced to serve 20 years to life in prison when he returns to court for sentencing before County Court Judge Caroline Wojtaszek.
Seaman said, “This was a vicious crime for which the defendant will hopefully spend the rest of his life in jail.”
The case was investigated by the Niagara Falls Police Department and prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Doreen Hoffmann and Assistant District Attorney Richelle Kloch-Krantz.
