Speaking to fans Friday afternoon at FAN EXPO Canada, Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch recalled the exact moment she knew “Grimm” would be a hit.

“I knew we were safe the day we premiered,” she said of the pilot’s airing on Oct. 28, 2011. “It was a Friday night and we were up against (the World Series). I, at first, was thinking, ‘We are toast! We are dead meat. We’re going to get canceled tomorrow.’

“We premiered against game 7 of the World Series – and we killed it! We killed it. So, when we got the numbers that Saturday morning, I was like, ‘Oh, we’re good!’ ”

“Grimm” was a fan-favorite – and staple on the NBC primetime lineup – for six seasons and more than 120 episodes.

Though it’s been eight years since “Grimm” concluded, Tulloch teased more tales could be told.

“I happen to have recently read a script,” she said. “I don't know what's going to happen with it, or what's going on as far as Peacock, Universal/NBC, or if they're just going to move on, or whatever.

“But, from my perception, maybe a year and a half ago, The CW started streaming ‘Grimm,’ and it's a free streaming app – whereas most of the apps we've been on prior were paid. And I think there was a lot of renewed interest in the show, and so they're trying to make it work.

“The idea right now, at least based on what I've read, is to do a movie-length, which is kind of cute, because it's six seasons and a movie. But if a movie worked, to then spin it off into a new series. Whether it would be for Peacock or NBC, I don't know; but I did just happen to read a script; and again, it's movie-length; and I thought it was wonderful.”

“I want to see like a rated-R version of ‘Grimm,’ ” Giuntoli quipped, and fans laughed. “Can’t we do (that) – that’d be a fun thing. It wants to be that. I mean, its subject matter is, well, grim.”

Tulloch said, “If you think about it – because I was talking to the person who wrote the script, there were over 200 Grimm fairy tales and, like, 500 legends or something else. I mean, there are so many things still left to do.

“And it was just such a fun show, and so fun to binge – and you don't really get shows anymore where there are 123 episodes to binge. It's like, you're lucky if you have 40 of your favorite show. And that's maddening, because I watch TV, too, and I get annoyed when, ‘It's only a 10-episode season?’

“So, hopefully, it'll go.”

Giuntoli said he hasn’t read a script, but he joked, “Nick Burkhardt did a lot of high kicks. That is something I would shift away from. Perhaps Nick gets up and he's like, ‘Oh, OK, there's a Wesen. Hey, younger, newer Grimm. This is how you defeat them.’ And then they wheel me back into a room.

“Nick is more of a crosswording kind of guy now.”

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

“Grimm” originally aired from 2011-17. It now streams on Peacock, Prime Video and The Roku Channel, and over-the-air on Comet.

In the supernatural cop drama based on the “Grimms’ Fairy Tales,” Portland Det. Nick Burkhardt (Giuntoli) discovers he is a Grimm descendent: His lineage has the unique ability to see and defeat Wesen – human/animal amalgams who can transform their appearance (woge), and possess extraordinary strength or skill. But unlike his ancestors who strictly hunted Wesen, Nick studies them – and forms a deep bond with a Blutbad, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell); a Fuchsbau, Rosalee (Bree Turner); and a Hexenbiest, Adalind (Claire Coffee) – to foil those who use their powers for evil.

At the precinct, he is joined by Hank (Russell Hornsby), his human partner; Sgt. Wu (Reggie Lee), a human-turned lycanthrope; and frenemy Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz), who is half-human, half-Zauberbiest.

Tulloch actually played a few different characters: human Juliette – Nick’s one-time fiancé, before she turned into an awful hexenbiest – Eve, a reincarnated version of hexenbiest Juliette who fights for good; and a hybrid between Juliette and Eve.

When the series ended, it previewed a time 20 years in the future when Nick’s step-daughter, Diana, and his son, Kelly, have taken the Grimm mantle from their father.

In addition to “Grimm,” Giuntoli starred on ABC’s “A Million Little Things” (2018-23), while Tulloch played Lois Lane on The CW’s “Superman & Lois” (2021-24).
