As the rain flowed Friday in the Village of Lewiston, crowds of people flooded into the tented area of the Smelt Festival. A light shower couldn't deter visitors from coming up to the waterfront and supporting the Niagara River Anglers Association. Under cover, they were quickly able to catch free (paper) boatloads of the tiny, fried fish, and listen to the sounds of 90 West.

In keeping with that idea this summer, Artpark & Company has announced a concert featuring two visually stunning outdoor spectacles: William Close & The Earth Harp Collective, and "Big Bang" by the French performance group Plasticiens Volants. The show will conclude the 2017 season on Saturday, Sept. 2.
